Join us for our adult art series - A Taste of Art - where we’ll feature a different art medium or style each month. We’ll learn a little bit about the medium or style, do a little practice, and then do a simple project, while having some food, drink, and good conversation! It’s a great chance to unwind at the end of the week!

For June, we will be doing paint pouring! You layer acrylic paint in a cup and then pour, flip, or drizzle the paint onto a canvas or board. Then you tilt the surface until it is all covered and dripping over the edges and it has the patterns you like! Definitely dress for mess for this one! (We will have aprons and gloves.)

We’ll do a couple practice pieces on 4” squares and then graduate to 12” square. Upon advance request we may have 11×14 or 12×16 canvases available. If you would prefer a different size from these, you may bring your own (but please do not go above 24” size because we don’t have space for bigger surfaces).

Note that the paintings will have to be left at our studio to dry and should be ready for pickup by Tuesday or Wednesday. We’ll send a notice when ready. If you must take your paintings, please give us advance notice so that we may prepare a suitable box for transport. The paint is still moveable for several hours and could still drip or shift if tilted, even slightly. (So taking it with you that night is not recommended.)

Price includes use of supplies, charcuterie, and Lynfred wine,* water, or coffee.
